Dr. Janet Stout is the director of Special Pathogens Laboratory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.

She has more than 80 peer review papers on Legionnaires’ disease in the health care environment and is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
